(a) The next meeting of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
shall take place in Bonn from 9-11 April 2010.
(b) The Eleventh session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I
Parties under the Kyoto Protocol (AWG-KP 11) and the Ninth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group
on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA 9) shall take place. The issues
to be taken up in these meetings include interalia, further commitments to be taken by Annex-I
Parties under the second commitment period of Kyoto Protocol, financial mechanism, technology
development & transfer, mitigation and adaptation.
(c)& (d) India has been regularly participating in the meetings of the UNFCCC to protect
national interests. India has been pressing for a fair and equitable climate change regime
based on the principle of equity and common but differentiated responsibilities and respective
capabilities.
