(a) the details of trains running between Delhi and Chennai ;

(b) whether there have been complaints from the public regarding lack of trains on this route over a period of time;

(a) At present, Delhi is well connected to Chennai by following train services.
(i) 12269/12270 Chennai Central- Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto Express (bi-weekly)
(ii) 12433/12434 Chennai Central – Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express (bi-weekly)
(iii) 12611/12612 Chennai Central –Hazrat Nizamuddin Garib Rath Express (weekly)
(iv) 12615/12616 Chennai Central -Delhi Sarai Rohilla Grand Trunk Express (daily)
(v) 12621/12622 Chennai Central -New Delhi Tamil Nadu Express (daily)
(vi) 16031/16032 Chennai Central -Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Andaman Express (tri-weekly)
(vii) 12641/12642 Kanniyakumari-Hazrat Nizamuddin Thirukkural Express (bi-weekly)
(viii) 12651/12652 Madurai-Hazrat Nizamuddin Tamil Nadu Sampark Kranti Express (bi-weekly)
(ix) 12687/12688 Madurai-Dehradun/Chandigarh Express (bi-weekly)
(x) 22403/22404 Puducherry-New Delhi Express (weekly)

(b) to (d) Representations for running new train services and complaints regarding lack of train services are received at various levels of Railway Administration. However, Indian Railway do not maintain compendium of such representations. Introduction of new train is an ongoing process subject to traffic demand, operational feasibility and availability of resources.
