Question : DAIRY PROJECTS IN M.P.



(a) whether the Government has any plan to open/set up Dairy projects in Madhya Pradesh during the current financial year;

(b) if so, the locations thereof;

(c) by when they are likely to be set up;and

(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a),(b),(c)&(d): A project proposal covering districts of Betul, Dhar, Mandsaur, Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Datia & Balaghat was received under Centrally sponsored scheme “Strengthening Infrastructure for Quality and Clean Milk Production”. This has been approved by this Department with total outlay of Rs.323.51 lakh and first installment of Rs.61.67 lakh has been released.

National Dairy Development Board has approved a Perspective Plan 2005 for Bhopal Milk Union in Madhya Pradesh for Rs.672.56 lakh. No financial assistance has been availed by the Union.
