Question : EMPLOYEES WORKING WITH GOVERNMENT CONTRACTORS

(a) whether the employees working with Government contractors of CPWD for the last twenty years in various Ministries/establishments such as Sena Bhawan, Krishi Bhawan, Vigyan Bhawan etc. are being exploited;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether the Supreme Court and High Courts have ordered that the works going on for several years will not be done through contractors but will be done by government employees;

(d) if so, the reasons for violating the orders of Hon`ble court by officers of Central Public works Department and contractors in connivance with each other; and

(e) the action taken by the Government in this regard?

(a): No complaints in this regard have been received.

(b): In view of (a) above, does not arise.

(c): No such directions have been issued by the Supreme Court or High Courts.

(d)&(e): There is no violation of Court`s order and therefore the question of connivance between the offices of CPWD and contractors to do so does not arise.
