Question : PRADHAN MANTRI GRAM SADAK YOJANA

(a) the number of projects under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) that have not been completed within the specified time limit during the last two years, State-wise;

(b) whether the delay in projects is linked to the shortage of funds;

(c) if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether the Government proposes to build rural roads under public private partnership model;

(e) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor; and

(f) the progress in the ongoing projects under PMGSY during the last three years and the current year, State-wise?

(a) to (c): Rural Roads is a State subject. The responsibility of execution of works under PMGSY is of the State Governments who are the implementing agencies.

(d) & (e): Initial consultations are being made with States.

(f): The State-wise progress of length of roads constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) as reported by the States, during the last three years and current year, state-wise is at Annexure.
