Question : ANTI-INDIA ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN IN NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES



(a) Whether the Government is aware that anti-India activities are being undertaken on large scale in neighbouring countries;

(b) if so, the details thereof including the instance noticed by the Union Government during the last three years;

(c) the action taken by the Government in this regard;

(d) whether the Pakistani High Commissions/Embassies in other countries are reportedly involved in anti-India activities; and

(e) if so, the details thereof and the action taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (c) The Government of India keep a constant watch on all developments having a bearing on India’s security and takes all necessary measures to safeguard it. Government have taken up instances of anti-India activities such as presence of Indian insurgents groups in neighbouring countries, smuggling, cross border terrorism, influx of fake currency, etc., and articulated our concerns to the respective Governments, including through established bilateral institutional dialogue mechanisms. Our neighbours have conveyed that they do not allow their territory to be used for any activity against India. The Government remains vigilant and takes all necessary steps to meet our legitimate strategic and security requirements.

(d) & (e) All foreign diplomatic Missions are expected to respect the laws and regulations of the receiving State. Government remains ever vigilant in this regard.
