(a) & (b) The number of proposals received and number of proposals approved along with their sanctioned cost for construction of roads in the state of Maharashtra and Rajasthanduring the last three years are as under:

(c) 9 proposals of Central Road Fund (CRF) for the State of Rajasthan were submitted by State Government in March, 2019, which could not be sanctioned due to Bank of sanction ratio exceeding permissible limit as per CRF Act, 2000 and enforcement of Model code of Conduct in March, 2019 for Lok Sabha Elections, 2019. With the amendment of CRF Act, 2000 through Finance Act, 2018 and replacing the earlier Act, the new Act viz “Central Road Infrastructure Fund Act, 2000” sanction of schemes for State Road is no longer a function of the Central Government.
