Question : Pilgrim Special Train

(a) whether daily trains have been provided for the pilgrim of Saurashtra area of Gujarat to travel to Haridwar;
(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;
(c) whether the Government is taking steps to provide new trains from various parts of the country to Porbandar; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) and (b) At present, 19565/66 Okha-Dehradun Express(Weekly) is available between Okha & Haridwar.
(c) and (d) Presently, Porbandar is served by 06 pairs of trains which connect it inter-alia to stations like Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, Secunderabad, Madgaon, Thiruvananthapuram etc. At present, there is no proposal for introduction of new train service(s) from Porbandar. However, introduction of train services is an on-going process on Indian Railways, subject to operational feasibility, commercial justification, competing demands etc.
