Question : RELEASE TO KVIBs



(a) the details of the funds allocated/released to Khadi and Village Industries Boards (KVIBs) including Rajasthan during each of the last three years and the current year, State-wise;

(b) the details of the Schemes/Programmes under which the allocation have been made; and

(c) the criteria adopted to allocate/release funds to KVIBs?

(a): The details of funds provided by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) to State Khadi and Village Industries Boards (KVIBs) including State KVIB of Rajasthan during the last three years and the current year are given at Annex I.

(b) & (c): The allocations to State KVIBs under various schemes [excluding Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)] are made as per their need-based requirements. In the case of PMEGP, the State-wise allocations of margin money subsidy for the three implementing agencies namely KVIC, State KVIBs and State District Industries Centres (DICs) are made by KVIC as per the criteria provided for in the schematic guidelines, which includes the extent of backwardness of the States, extent of unemployment, rural population and past performance, etc.
