Question : NEW MBBS SYLLABUS



(a) whether the Medical Council of India (MCI) proposes to revise the existing MBBS curriculum which envisages training of medical teachers and exposure of medical students to clinical practices in the first year of the course;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the other major changes/modifications proposed by the MCI in the new MBBS syllabus;

(c) the time by which the new MBBS syllabus is proposed to be implemented and the manner in which it is likely to scale up the quality and standards of medical education in the country;

(d) the present status of the earlier proposed syllabus titled Vision 2015 in the wake of the new MBBS syllabus; and

(e) the steps taken/proposed to be taken by the Government to bring uniformity in medical education across the country?
