(a) whether the Union Government has received any proposal from the State Government of Madhya
Pradesh for constitution of a Committee for simplification of the process for granting approval to
the management schemes of the forest areas having more than 10 hectares under the Public Forestry
Programme;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the action taken thereon; and
(c) the time by which the said proposal is likely to be approved?

(a) Yes Sir, proposal for constituting a committee for simplification of the process of
according approval to Management Schemes having more than 10 ha. forest area under Lok Vaniki
Schemes was received from the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests,Government of Madhya Pradesh.
(b) The proposal was examined by the MoEF,Government of India and it was observed that the
proposal to constitute a committee for approval of such management plan was not in conformity with
the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in this regard and the State Govt. was informed
accordingly.
(c) Does not arise.
