(a) the details and the number of National Institutes of Design (NIDs) functioning across the country at present;
(b) whether the Government proposes to set up a satelite centre of the Ahmedabad based NID in Rajasthan; and
(c) if so, the details thereof?

(a): National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad with two Institute Campuses at Gandhi Nagar and Bangalore and NID, Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
(b): It is proposed to set up an Institute Campus of NID, Ahmedabad in Rajasthan.
(c): State Government of Rajasthan has been requested to identify and allot suitable land and other facilities for the purpose.
