(a) the details of foreign investment received from each of the investing country during the last three years and measures taken to attract maximum foreign investment in the country;
(b) whether the U.S. has asked Indian Government to buy more US products and services to compensate for the US job lost due to outsourcing; and

(a) Details of country wise Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflows during April 2002 to February 2005 are indicated in the statement at Annexure. The Government has put in place a liberal policy on FDI wherein FDI up to 100% is allowed in most activities under the automatic route. In order to attract FDI in the country, the policy & procedures are reviewed on an ongoing basis, besides undertaking investment promotion & facilitation measures.
