Question : Study to Augment MPLAD Funds

(a) whether any need has been felt to conduct a study regarding augmenting MPLAD funds by the Ministry on par with innovations in various Departments of the Government;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether there is a consideration for the State specific Members of Rajya Sabha’s MPLAD funds to be distributed any where in the country for taking up developmental works;

(d) if so, whether the Ministry finds it a necessity in the large interest of the country; and

(e) if so, the steps taken/ to be taken in this regard?
