(a) whether the Government is aware of the all round deterioration of the Safdarjung hospital, New Delhi as reported in the Times of India dated September 19, 2005;
(b) if so, the facts of the matter reported therein ; and

(a) to (c) The news report appeared in the Times of India dated September 19,2005 captioned `Safdarjung suffering, and there`s no cure in sight` is devoid of facts. The Safdarjung Hospital continues to provide appropriate treatment facilities to the patients within the available resources and infrastructure. However, strengthening and modernization is a continues process and the same is undertaken as per the need.
