Railways have huge throwforward of ongoing projects with limited availability of resources. As a result projects are progressing as per availability of resources. Targets are fixed every year based on the progress of project, their relative priority and availability of funds.

During 2011-12, as of now, projects are progressing as planned. However, Gauge Conversion projects are experiencing resource constraints. Railways will strive to provide funds with the available Gross Budgetary Support and Tax-Free Bonds.
