(a) whether the Railways propose to permit private companies to run luxury tourist trains in
the country;
(b) if so, the details in this regard;
(c) the sectors identified for running such trains in the country; and

(a) to (d) : No, Sir. At present Railway has the policy to run Luxury Tourist Trains in
collaboration with State Tourism Development Corporations and Indian Railway Catering and
Tourism Corporation Ltd.(IRCTC) only.
