(a) whether the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) cover has been withdrawn from power distribution companies; and

(a): Yes, Madam.
(b): CISF is primarily a Force to guard sensitive/vulnerable installations and is not assigned for protection
of individuals/parties of persons. Such tasks are normally taken up by the State Police/Security agencies.
Further,considering the increasing commitment of CISF for deployment at sensitive installations and Government
undertakings located in vulnerable areas, it has not been found feasible to continue the deployment of CISF
for the private distribution companies(BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, BSES Yamuna Power Limited and North Delhi
Power Limited) in Delhi.
