(a). The details of the various schemes being implemented by the Government for the development of animal husbandry, dairy and poultry in the country during the last two years and the current year are as follows:
I. Rashtriya Gokul Mission(RGM)
II. National Programme for Dairy Development (NPDD)
III. National Dairy Plan-I(NDP-I)(was closed on 29 Nov, 2019. No financial assistance was released during 2019-20)
IV. Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS)(discontinued from 2020-21)
V. Dairy Processing and Infrastructure Development Fund(DIDF)
VI.
VII. Supporting Dairy Cooperatives and Farmer Producer Organizations engaged in dairy activities (SDC&FPO)
VIII. National Livestock Mission(NLM)
IX. Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund(AHIDF)

XI. National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP)
(b). Rashtriya Gokul Mission is not a beneficiary oriented scheme. However, benefits of the scheme are being accrued to all farmers engaged in rearing of cattle and buffaloes in the form of enhancement in milk productivity.
Under NPDD, total 3,65,475 milk producers have been covered. Under NDP-I, Market access was provided to more than 16.88 Lakh milk producers. Overall, the project covered around 59 Lakh beneficiaries across 97,000 villages.4,21,157 beneficiaries have been assisted with a subsidy amount of Rs 1892.28 crore under DEDS.
Under NLM, 47,550 farmers have been benefitted under the components of Poultry Development, and 72,175 farmers have been benefitted under components of Distribution of hand and power driven chaff cutters and silage making units. Under Rural Backyard Sheep and Goat Development, no. of beneficiaries are 33,370. Under Rural Backyard piggery Development, no. of beneficiaries are 18,853. 28,34,308 farmers have been benefitted under Livestock Insurance and 3,72,018 farmers have been benefitted under Training & Capacity Building.
Around 4.03 crore farmers have benefited from the vaccination of their livestock against Foot and Mouth Disease under NADCP programme. So far, 16.91 crore animals have been vaccinated against FMD as per information received from the States/UTs.
(c) No, Sir. Milk production in the country is growing at the compound annual growth rate of 6.28% during the last 6 years. As per National Account Statistics 2021, the value of output of milk in 2019-20 is Rs 8.39 lakh crore (at current prices) surpassing total value of output from cereals.
(d) & (e) Yes, Sir. Government receives proposal from the States regarding animal husbandry and dairy projects under these schemes. The details of fund allocation and released to various States under the scheme by the Central Government during the last two years and current year are as under:
