(a) whether the first of the six next generation Boeing 737-800 aircrafts are proposed to be taken on dry lease by Air India Express;

(c) whether the Government has intiated steps to recruit cabin crew for the expansion plans being worked out to cater to the needs of the flyers commuters; and

(a) & (b) : Yes, Madam. Air India Charters Limited has contracted for the lease of six B-737-800 NG aircraft for delivery between March and November 2016.
(c) & (d) : Air India Express has already undertaken recruitment exercise to recruit cabin crew for its enchanced fleet and 150 candidates have been shortlisted for appointment on fixed term contract basis, as airline attendant.
