Question : Restriction on Immigration Clearance

(a) whether the Government has imposed restriction on immigration clearance to Indian citizens against whom cases are pending, if so, the details thereof;

(b) whether the Government has relaxed the restriction of any of them during the last three years, if so, the details and the reasons for relaxation; and

(c) whether the Government has requested foreign countries to relax restrictions imposed for immigration during the last three years, if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (c): As reported by the Ministry of Home Affairs, generally, there are no restrictions imposed on immigration of Indian citizens against whom cases are pending. However, in certain cases, Look Out Circulars (LOC) are opened by various security and Law enforcing agencies in accordance with guidelines issued from time to time.
