Question : CNG OUTLETS IN UTTAR PRADESH



(a) whether in view of the need to decrease pollution from vehicle emissions, the Government are planning to extend C.N.G. outlets in Uttar Pradesh and in Moradabad district in particular;

(b) if so, the details of the proposed scheme and the time by which it is likely to be implemented; and

(c) if no, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c) Government of India have made an allocation of 0.1MMSCMD and 0.05 MMSCMD of natural gas for city gas distribution project in Lucknow and Bareilly respectively in Uttar Pradesh. The gas will be used for domestic, commercial and as CNG. However the projects are still at conceptualization stage.
