(a) whether the Government proposes to construct a bridge connecting Majuli Island and Jorhat;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the amount allotted for the construction of bridge connecting Majuli and Jorhat; and
(d) the time by which it is likely to be completed along with the present status thereof?

(a) to (d) Yes Madam, the construction of a bridge connecting Majuli Island and Jorhat has been approved “In-Principle” by the Ministry subject to outcome of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) to be prepared by State Public Works Department (PWD), Govt. of Assam. The preparation of DPR has been initiated by the State PWD by engaging DPR consultant.
