(a) & (b): During the last three years, Inspection under section 209A of the
Companies Act, 1956 was
undertaken of 96 companies involved in Stock Market transaction. In addition, investigation under section 235/237
of the Act was ordered, in respect of 17 companies. List of the above companies is annexed.
(c): The JPC Report on Stock Market Scam 2001, has identified an amount of Rs. 3323 crores being the amount
received by Ketan Parekh entities from Corporate Group, Banks, Financial Institutions etc., as being involved
in the said scam.
