(a) A total road length of 6, 21,818.290 Km has been completed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) since inception till 12th March, 2020 in the Country.
(b) Since inception till 12th March, 2020, 24,825.540 km has been completed under PMGSY in the State of Assam. District-wise details are given in Annexure.
(c) A total of 1,958 Long Span Bridges has been sanctioned under PMGSY in the State of Assam, of which 942 bridges have been completed till 12th March, 2020.
(d) As per the available information, 416.81 km gravel roads have been converted into Black topped/Pucca roads under PMGSY.
(e) PMGSY was started in the year 2000 as 100% Centrally Sponsored Scheme. However, the funding pattern was modified to 60:40 between the Centre and States for all States except for 8 North Eastern and 3 Himalayan States for which the ratio was fixed at 90:10 based on the recommendations of the Sub-Group of Chief Ministers on Rationalization of Centrally Sponsored Schemes. Since inception till 12th March, 2020, an expenditure of Rs 15,334.51 crore has been incurred for implementation of PMGSY in the State of Assam.
(f) The details regarding road length completed, bridge works sanctioned and completed, Gravel road converted into blacktop/pucca road and expenditure incurred, under PMGSY in the districts of Barpeta, Bongaigaon and Nalbari of Assam are as under:-
