Question : JOINT FIGHTER EXERCISES



(a) whether the Government has asked the Indian Air Force to reduce the number of joint fighter exercises with foreign countries;

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;

(c) the estimated expenditure incurred on each exercise; and

(d) the number of joint exercises proposed to be restricted in a particular year?

(a) No, Sir.

(b) Does not arise.

(c) The expenditure incurred on each joint fighter exercise is dependent on factors like category of aircraft deployed, duration of the exercise, and number of Air Force personnel participating in the exercise.

(d) There are no restrictions imposed on bilateral exercises in a year.
