(a) whether the Government of Karnataka has submitted the detailed Environment Impact
Assessment (EIA) and the Environment Management Plan (EMP) relating to the proposed
International airport at Devanahalli near Bangalore;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the action taken by the Union Government in this regard?

(a), (b) & (c) : No Sir. However, in April, 1997 M/s Tata Industries Limited had submitted an application alongwith a Rapid Environment Impact Assessment Report seeking environmental clearance. The application was returned in May, 1997, informing them to submit the proposal as per procedure laid down in the Gazette Notification S.O. No.318(E), dated 10th April, 1997.
