Question : DRDO Projects

(a) whether the Government has provided any funds to Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the development of innovative, intelligent and state-of-art technology gadgets in the country during the last three years and the current year; and

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the funds earmarked and allocated for various DRDO projects during the said period?

(a) & (b): Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), an R&D Wing of Ministry of Defence, is primarily involved in design and development of strategic, complex and security sensitive systems in the fields of armaments, missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, radars, electronic warfare systems, sonars, combat vehicles, combat aircraft, sensors, etc for the Armed Forces as per their specific Qualitative Requirements.
Details of expenditure made by the Department of Defence Research and Development during the last three years and current year are given below:
