(a) whether the International Centre for Advancement of Manufacturing Technology has undertaken certain projects on pilot project basis to upgrade manufacturing practices of Foundry Industry in Agra and Machine Tools Industry in Bangalore;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the initiatives taken to develop and implement training modules for the benefit of the workers of the Foundry Industry?

(a) to (c): Yes Sir.
The International Centre for Advancement of Manufacturing Technology (ICAMT) has undertaken a project in close co-operation with National Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Agra (NCIC) on pilot
project basis to upgrade manufacturing practices of Foundry Industry in Agra. Following activities are envisaged under this project:
- Trainings/Seminars/Workshops on key technologies
- Deputing National/International Experts to help industry to follow best manufacturing practices.
- To facilitate industry to get exposure to manufacturing practices being followed in developed countries.
- To help industry in identifying and adopting appropriate technologies
The areas and issues are being identified in co-operation with NCIC for developing and implementing training modules for Agra foundry industry.
