Question : Development of Border Infrastructure

(a) whether China has constructed roads and other infrastructure after Doklam standoff on Indo-China border in Sikkim;

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the steps the Government is taking to develop border infrastructure requirement?

(a) & (b): Since the disengagement of Indian and Chinese border personnel in the Doklam area on 28th August, 2017, there have been no new developments at the face-off site and its vicinity. The status quo prevails in this area.
(c) The Government is fully seized of the security needs of the country and reviews the same from time to time. Required measures including development of infrastructure like construction of roads, tunnels, railway lines and airfields are taken to safeguard the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of India.
