Question : Construction of Terah Mori Bandh

(a) whether plans were drawn and initial exercise was undertaken in the early/ mid 1970s for constructing/reviving a water body named ‘Terah Mori Bandh’;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons for not giving it a final touch and not proceeding with the project; and
(c) the plans of the Ministry to liaise with all other agencies including that of State Governments to construct this water body in an expeditious and time bound manner which will give a boost to tourist related activities there and would also promote the stay of tourists in Fatehpur Sikri?

(a) to (c) Works related to water resources development & management are planned, funded, executed and maintained by the State Governments themselves as per their own resources and priorities.

The State Government has informed that no project has been approved for reviving ‘Terah Mori Bandh’in the early/mid 1970s. However, the necessary maintenance work of ‘Terah Mori Bandh’ is taken up from time to time by Irrigation and Water Resources Department of Government of Uttar Pradesh.
