(a) whether the Government has received any proposal with regard to Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act from the State Government of Jharkhand for approval;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether Jharkhand State Government has followed the procedural formality while sending the above proposal; and
(d) if so, the details and reaction of the Government thereto?

(a): Yes, Madam.
(b) to (d): The Santhal Pargana Tenancy (Supplementary Provisions) Act, 1949 (Amendment) Ordinance, 2016 was received in the Ministry of Home Affairs on 14.07.2016 for the instructions of the President of India under the proviso to clause (1) of Article 213 of the Constitution of India. However, the said Ordinance has since been returned to the State Government on their request.
