(a) to (d) Prasar Bharati has informed that as far as Doordarshan is concerned, the following new Doordarshan stations were targeted for establishment during the Twelfth Five Year Plan:
1. 2012-13- HPT Mahabubnagar (Telangana)
2. 2013-14- VLPT Joginder Nagar (A&N Islands)
3. 2016-17- HPTs (DD National & DD News) at Rajouri (J&K).
Out of the above, HPT Mahabubnagar (Telangana) & VLPT Joginder Nagar (A&N Islands) were set up during the above period.
In respect of All India Radio (AIR), scheme for setting up 341 new AIR Stations including 275 nos. of 100 W FM Relay stations has been approved under 12th plan including continuing schemes of earlier plans and are targeted for completion within plan period.
Out of 341 stations, 143 new AIR stations including 125 nos. of 100 W FM Relay stations have been commissioned during the 12th Plan Period (April 2012 to March 2017). State-wise details are given in Annexure-I. State-wise details of remaining approved 198 new AIR Broadcasting Stations including 150 nos. of 100 W FM Relay stations are given in Annexure-II.
(e) Doordarshan : No new Doordarshan station was set up in Odisha during the Twelfth Five Year Plan. Nine old 100 watt Low Power Transmitters (LPT) were replaced by 500 watt LPTs in the state during the Twelfth Five Year Plan.
All India Radio : In Odisha, 5 kW FM transmitter at Sambalpur, 5 kW FM transmitter at Bhawanaipatna and 1 kW FM transmitter at Jeypore have already been commissioned.
Setting up of 100 W FM relay stations at Bargarh, Phulbani, Kendrapara, Malkangiri and Nabrangpur has been approved. In addition to this, up-gradation of existing 6 kW FM transmitter by new 10 kW FM transmitter at AIR Behrampur & Bolangir and existing 3 kW FM transmitter by new 5 kW FM transmitter at Puri have also been approved. Apart from this, scheme for replacement of old MW transmitters by new same power MW transmitters have also been approved at Sambalpur (100 kW MW) and Bhawanipatna (200 kW MW).
