Question : DAMAGE TO NATIONAL HIGHWAYS IN HARYANA



(a) whether the Government is aware of the fact that National Highways have been damaged severely due to heavy rains in Haryana;

(b) If so, whether the Government has been any steps to repair and restore the National Highways in Haryana;

(c) if so, the details thereof; and

(d) the action taken by the Government to repair the National Highways falling in Haryana ?

(a) Yes, Sir. Some sections of the National Highways in Haryana have been damaed due to rains.

(b) The damaged sections have been restored and the roads are in traffic worthy condition.

(c)&(d) Ministry has allocated Rs. 35.00 lakhs for restoration of damages due torains and in addition Rs.347.00 lakhs under Ordinary Repairs for maintenance and repairs of National Highways in Haryana entrusted to State PWD. Besides this, NHAI has also incurred an expenditure of Rs.3.58 lakhs for restoration of rain damages on the National Highways in Haryana, which have been entrusted to them. will be considered depending upon availability of resources and inter-se-priority of projects.
