(a): Financial assistance released to various State Governments under different handloom schemes/ programmes during last three years and current financial year i.e. 2014-15, year-wise and State- wise is annexed herewith.
(b) to (d): At present, there is no such proposal under consideration of the Government. However, Office of the Development Commissioner for Hand- looms, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India has been implementing number of schemes for overall development of the handlooms and welfare of hand loom weavers including women weavers. These schemes are:
1. National Handloom Development Programme- two components:
a. Comprehensive Handlooms Development Scheme (3 schemes of 11th Plan merged into this scheme. This includes Integrated Handlooms Development Scheme (IHDS), Marketing and Export Promotion Scheme (MEPS) and Diversified Handlooms Development Scheme.
b. Revival, Reform and Restructuring (RRR) Package for handloom sector.
2. Handloom Weavers Comprehensive Welfare Scheme
3. Yarn Supply Scheme
4. Comprehensive Handloom Cluster Development Scheme
