Question : ENCOURAGE OF INTERNET SERVICES

(a) whether the Government propose to encourage the internet services in order to promote the information technology in the country;

(b) if so, whether the Government propose to connect Raipur and other major cities of Chhattisgarh State with one international gateway-hub each; and

(c) if so, the time by which the approval is likely to be accorded in this regard?

(a): Yes, Sir.

(b) and (c): Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) Internet plans do not envisage connecting Raipur and other major cities of Chhattisgarh directly with International Internet Gateway hubs.
