(a) whether the Union Government is aware of the sharp rise in barriers imposed on the movement of people from our country to advanced nations;

(b) if so, the reaction of the Union Government in this regards; and

(c) the steps taken/proposed to be taken to ease these restrictions?

(a),(b)&(c) The Government is aware that a number of countries have visa regimes that do not always encourage the movement of legitimate travellers.

The Government has been taking up this issue at various fora as appropriate. However, the issue of visa is a sovereign right of all nations.
