(b): The Government websites are hosted in data centres of National Informatics Centre (NIC). While availability and security of these websites are monitored by NIC, the content on these websites is directly monitored and updated by the respective Ministries/Departments. For this, a senior officer of the Ministry/Department has been nominated as Web Information Managers (WIMs) to regularly monitor and get the latest development updated on the concerned website.

(c): No, Sir.

(d): Yes, Sir.

(e): NIC has developed a Common Minimum Framework (CMF) under the aegis of Digital India programme. The CMF will enhance not only the presentation of websites but also make the content updation by the Ministries /Departments easy. As part of the Early Harvest programme of the Digital India, it has been planned to migrate 100 websites of Central Government Ministries/Departments using CMF, smoothly.
