THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATIONS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (DR. SHAKEEL AHMAD)
(a) & (b): No, Sir. There is no specific scheme formulated for the participation of the postmen or Grameen Dak Sewak Delivery Agents (GDSDAs) in specific schemes of public relations in rural areas.
However, given the access and credibility that they enjoy with the public in rural areas, training is being imparted to both postmen and GDSDAs to give them a better appreciation of the services that the department officers, and to thereby provide better customer satisfaction.
