(a) whether a large number of posts of nurses are lying vacant in the Central Government Hospitals located in various parts of the country;
(b) if so, the reasons therefor;
(c) by when these vacancies are likely to be filled up; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d): Filling up of vacant posts is governed by the Central Government instructions contained in DOPT OM No.2/8/2001-PIC dated 16.5.2001. As far as vacant posts of Nurses in Central Government Hospitals in Delhi are concerned, the Screening Committee has already approved filling up thereof.
