(a),(b)&(c): The import of sugar as classified under chapter 14 of ITC (HS) classification
is free. However, the import contracts for sugar are to be compulsorily registered with
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Exports Development Authority (APEDA). Further, free
importability of sugar under EXIM policy is subject to compliance of all other applicable
domestic laws.
