(a) the funds have been released from National Calamity Relief Fund (NCRF) for relief and restoration work in super cyclone affected area of Orissa during 1999-2000 and 2000-2001; and

(b) the date on which unutilised amount has been returned to the Central Government alongwith the reasons for unutilisation of relief funds?

(a): During 1999-2000, Rs.828.15 crore from the National Fund for Calamity Relief (NFCR) was released to Orissa in the wake of floods and cyclones (including super cyclone). The scheme of NFCR has come to an end on 31.3.2000.

(b): The assistance from the NFCR was released to the State for undertaking relief and restoration measures in the wake of floods and cyclones, which are under various stages of implementation.
