Question : CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION IN INSTITUTIONS



(a) the institutions offering courses in Management, Pharmacy, MCA,MBA,B.ED., Library Science and B.E., on fees charging free seat and NRI seat basis;

(b) the criteria adopted by these institutions for providing admission in various courses;

(c) whether these institutions are entitled to offer direct admission to students; and

(d) if not, the steps taken by the Government to provide direct admission in these institutions to the willing candidates?

(a) to (d): The private unaided educational institutions imparting higher and technical education including management education are offering courses on fee charging and free seat basis.50% of the Seats including those for foreign students/NRIs are on fee charging basis. Admission to these institutions is based on merit. Direct admissions are made in respect of seats for foreign/NRI students.
