STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN REPLY OF PARTS (a) to (d) OF THE LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. *385 FOR ANSWER ON 08.01.2019 REGARDING HOUSING PROBLEM.
(a)to (d): The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that so far it has launched 45 Housing Schemes in which 3,98,235 flats of different categories have been allotted. In addition, DDA has allotted 80,857 residential plots under Rohini Residential Scheme. 884 plots have been allotted to various Group Housing Societies in Rohini, Dwarka, East and South Delhi, which has contributed to about 1,16,328 flats under various categories. A total of 118 cooperative societies have also been allotted plots for residential purpose. Further, 10,791 residential plots under alternative allotment and 894 plots through auction have been allotted in different parts of Delhi. All these schemes have contributed towards meeting the housing requirement of Delhi.
As regards corruption in DDA, it is stated that DDA has a vigilance wing functioning under an independent Chief Vigilance Officer, which examines the complaints of alleged corruption received from time to time and if the allegations/charges are established/substantiated, action as per the DDA Conduct, Disciplinary and Appeal Regulations 1999, is initiated against delinquent officers.
