(a) The names of districts in Uttar Pradesh from where proposals have been
received by the Government to open new Kendriya Vidyalayas; and
(b) the time by which decision is likely to be taken on the pending proposals
from Uttar Pradesh and the details in this regard?

(a) Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has received proposals for opening of new
Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) in 11 districts of Uttar Pradesh. These are Faizabad,
Farrukhabad, Sitapur, Saharanpur, Pukhraya (Distt. Ramabai Nagar), Daselia (Distt
Sitapur), Achhnera Dehat (Distt. Agra), Mau, Varanasi, Sumerpur (Distt Hamirpur) and
Pratapgarh.
(b) Decision on the pending proposals for opening of KVs depends upon viability of
the proposal, availability of resources and sanction of the competent authority.
