(a) whether India and France have signed new confidentiality agreement replacing the 2008 pact, among 14 other pacts; and

(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons for foreclosing of sharing classified information on defence deals, including the Rafale fighter aircraft deal?

(a) & (b): An Agreement between India and France regarding the Exchange and Reciprocal Protection of Classified or Protected Information was signed on 10th March, 2018 during the State Visit of President of France to India. This agreement defines the common security regulations applicable to any exchange of classified and protected information between the two countries.
