Question : HRIDAY

Will the Minister of STATE FOR URBAN DEVELOPMENT be please to state:

(a) the manner in which cities identified under National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana (HRIDAY) are developed and facilities provided;

(b) the details of funds sanctioned and released so far to the cities identified for development under HRIDAY, city-wise;

(c) the details of projects implemented/being implemented under HRIDAY along with the progress of these projects/project and city-wise;

(d) the time schedule fixed for development of cities identified under HRIDAY; and

(e) whether the Government proposes to extend HRIDAY to other cities and if so, the names of such cities and the expenditure likely to be incurred therein?

(a): The focus of the HRIDAY programme is on the development of physical, institutional, economic & social Infrastructure of the identified cities.

(b) & (c): The details are at Annexure – A.

(d): The HRIDAY schemes would be implemented during December 2014 to March 2017.

(e): No such proposal is under consideration at present.
