(a) whether the Government proposes to revamp and restructure the
subsidiaries of Coal India Ltd.;
(b) if so, the steps taken in this regard; and
(c) the details of the proposal relating to revamping and restructuring
of Mahanadi Coal Field Ltd. (MCL)?

(a) to (c): The Government has constituted an Expert Committee which
is, inter alia, considering restructuring of Coal India Ltd. (CIL) to make
it a World class Company. The report of the Committee is awaited.
