(a) the number of fertilizer dealers at present in the country, State/UT-wise including Uttar Pradesh.
(b) whether the Government proposes to increase the number of the dealers/retailers in the country especially in Uttar Pradesh;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) The number of fertilizer dealer at present in the country including Uttar Pradesh is enclosed as per Annexure-A.
(b) No Sir.
(c) Question does no arise.
(d) The dealers/retailers are appointed by the respective fertilizers companies based on their commercial consideration. The award of dealership or retailership is governed as per Fertilizer (Control) Order, 1985.
