Question : INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS FOR VARANASI AND LUCKNOW



(a) whether the Government are contemplating to operate flights to the countries of South-East Asia from Varanasi and Lucknow Airports;

(b) if so, the details thereof; (C) the time by which flights are likely to be commenced; and

(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

THE MINISTER OF CIVIL AVIATION (SHRI SHARAD YADAV)

(a), (b), (c) and (d): Varanasi has been granted as a point of call to the designated airlines of both Nepal and Sri Lanka. The designated airlines of Nepal has been allowed access to Lucknow as well. Actual operations are however left to their commercial judgement. Necon Air of Nepal is presently operating to/from Varanasi.
